Greyhound Placement Service of NH (GPS) is a humane organization dedicated to the rescue and placement of retired racing greyhounds into responsible homes. In addition to operating our kennel, volunteers are very active in local communities to promote awareness, adoptions, behavior, proper health, and responsible pet ownership for the retired racing greyhound. GPS was incorporated in 1991 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and currently operates its kennel in Dover, New Hampshire.

GPS currently operates one kennel where greyhounds are housed prior to placement. This kennel normally has between ten and fifteen dogs available for adoption typically ranging in ages from two to twelve.  The kennel is a state licensed and inspected facility and is operated solely by volunteers.

Since its incorporation, GPS continues to operate as a neutral, non political adoption agency that neither condones nor opposes the racing industry in any way. The volunteers of GPS choose to focus their energy, time, and money on caring for and placing as many retired greyhounds as possible into responsible homes.

GPS is a nonprofit, tax-exempt humane organization supported financially by donations, adoption fees and fundraising events.
